Dr. Joseph Matos is professor of biblical studies at Dallas Baptist University, where he teaches primarily New Testament courses, Greek, and Christianity in a Pluralistic World. He also has taught Old Testament courses, Christian Doctrine, and Principles of Biblical Interpretation. The diversity of teaching experience has provided him a wholistic and integrative perspective for understanding and applying the teaching of the Bible to life, along with the practical and ideological challenges leveled at the faith of Christians individually and at the Christian faith as a worldview.

His YouTube channel On Journey with Dr. Joseph Matos seeks to encourage others to establish and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. In Galatians 4:19, the Apostle Paul communicated to the churches in Galatia that the goal of his efforts among them was that Christ be formed in them. He likened the extent of his labors to that of one who was in “the pains of childbirth.” Similarly, On Journey posts videos which foster spiritual growth and formation, reflects on the various aspects of that journey, and aids believers in maneuvering the many challenges Christians face.
